Elitch Gardens Master Plan & Architectural Design
Denver, Colorado
Elitch Gardens (Six Flags) was a key component in the redevelopment of the Platte River Valley neighborhood. The 50 acre amusement park relocated from its original North Denver site it had occupied since 1916. I was part of a large collaborative and complex process that involved several groups of professionals including urban planners, architects, landscape architects, graphic designers, and the City of Denver to develop the master plan for the unique downtown amusement park located in the heart of Denver.
My role at SBD was to design and develop the conceptual designs for the entry pavilion, cultural center, the new Tracadero, walkway promenade, elevated Ferris Wheel, the Wharf, kiosks, shade structures, and five different restaurants.
