TWO DANCING TREES
Blue River, Colorado
4 bed | 5 bath | 3,850 sq ft | 2.05 acre lot
The project includes two residences thoughtfully located on a secluded two-acre forested ridge line. 360 degree panoramic views appear within and without the residence. Referred to as “Two Dancing Trees”, the structure was erected and blessed in a traditional prayer by the Navajo steel erectors. Large sliding glass doors open to an expansive deck in this contemporary, light filed great room and loft space. The blend of interior textures, hemlock wood ceilings and walls, radiant heated black slate and polished concrete floors, steel rod supported stair, create a warm, welcoming feel. The low profile, simple roof forms are reflective of the distant mountain slopes. The exterior materials’ palette was chosen to harmonize with the lodge pole pine forest. They include Sugi Ban wood siding, Telluride stone, dark colored standing seam metal roof and railings.
